MmmMmm Tchaikovsky

Today Mark and I (since Wes is a jerk and backed out on me the day before!) went downtown to see the NBC do The Nutcracker! Getting some culture into Mark's life :P well, and into mine. I have such an admiration for talent, in any field it may be, and it is pretty awesome to watch what these people can do with their bodies. Makes me wish I could dance. Of course the best part was the music, it's so beautiful.. I dragged Mark down to the orchestra pit more than once hehe oh how a live orchestra excites me.. every once in a while I'll stop and think: that beautiful sound is coming from a real live person blowing into an instrument!!! And such a concept is really very cool to me, being the big band geek that I am.
I will say that perhaps I prefer musical theatre to ballet, though I did think that it was beautiful and was definately worth the experience.

In the program one of the restaurants advertises itself as "unpretentious" *snort* I just found that amusing.

It was raining like a bitch. And by the time we made it to Anton's birthday party.. soaked straight through. Nothing like a sopping wet skirt. I borrowed Anton's pj pants, and am still wearing them, because they are really extremely comfortable. Anyways, it was a little bad at first cuz of the not knowing anyone and therefore not really being in the conversation.. but as the night went on and I started talking to people, towards the end (and a game of spoons later) I ended up quite liking most of them.

Quite the nice day, concidering the circumstances. (And thank you Mark for putting up with what was probably hours of boredom for you!)

Meltdown yesterday, though now I'm doing my best to keep my mind off things.

Friday is Casa Loma with Antony *WEE!*
Saturday is a sexy pirate new years party, that's an orgasm waiting to happen, eh? :)
