"Lets Get The Conductor Drunk So We Can Listen To The Concert Recordings!!"
Ah so on the whole, this was a pretty kick ass weekend.
On Friday night I went out with Antony (Brian's friend whom I met after the concert last weekend, how awesome is that?) We did delightfully geeky things like go to ROM and watch 3 episodes of Star Trek :D There was a disappointing amount closed at ROM.. it doesn't have the same impressive effect when you can see it all within a couple of hours.. but I love ROM to death no matter what. Clearly my calling in life is to be a museum curator. Anyways, I had a really good time and quite enjoyed the company.
Saturday morning was a bit of a crazy panic.. getting home from work at the time when I supposed to be meeting Anton, so rushing like crazy to get stuff together and get out, and then not knowing where he was and calling Maria to get his number and then him not answering and then him backing out last minute and then getting to the theatre and wandering around not being able to find anyone for like 45 minutes, started to think no one at all was going to come lol BUT in conclusion, Maria, Gita, Andrea, Justin and I saw The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe.
It was fucking amazing.
And we know I'm not often fond of such adaptations when I have an attachment to the book, but it was really very brillant. I won't ruin anything for you by going into great detail. Go and see it. When king Peter rides up bareback on a unicorn with his sword.. mmmm Actually Mr. Tumnus was pretty cute too lol despite that whole being a faun thing..
After some bus confusion and lots of standing and being cold, Maria, Gita, and I proceeded to make our way to Ian's for the "unofficial TYWO christmas party". Colin and Adrienne came! Being a band geek is a wonderful thing, by about 2 in the morning we were all lying in the dark on the couches or the floor listening to our Ghost Train recording from the concert last week.. we sound SO FUCKING AWESOME! lol *sigh* so that was a great time, I'm sure there are lots more specific things that deserve mentioning but I'm still hung over, so, this is the best I can do! Unfortunately I still often feel like quite the hopeless outsider with the TYWO folk, but only time will cure that I suppose, and I had fun anyway.
I slipped going down the stairs to the subway, guys way not to tell me that my knee was bleeding!!!!1!11!! I didn't even realize until someone pointed it out when I got home :S
I was all ready to sleep when I got home, but, no, my supervisor called in a panic because the girl who usually works on Sundays didn't come. So there was no one there. And security got really mad and started calling my supervisor because it's actually a contract breech to not be open during mall hours. SO since I'm such a good person, hangover or not, I went in and saved the day. But now I am home and ready to do some sweet nothing muahaha!
